Rotary District 5170 is one of the most dynamic and innovative Rotary districts in the world, serving nearly 3,800 members through 63 Rotary clubs across the Greater Silicon Valley region of California. From the East Bay to Santa Cruz and throughout Silicon Valley, our members are united by a shared commitment to Service Above Self.

Walking for Memories. Walking for Hope. Walking for a Cure.
Today, October 24, Coach Joe Goralka is walking in the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in San Francisco in honor of his mother, who suffered from dementia.
Through his team, Rotary on the Run, Coach Joe invites fellow Rotarians, friends, and community members to walk alongside him, raise awareness, or make a donation to support the fight against Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
🌍 Today is also World Polio Day!
As we walk to end Alzheimer’s, we also stand united in Rotary’s mission to End Polio Now. Coach Joe will proudly wear his End Polio Now shirt to raise awareness for both causes.
